Performing Arts Preschool
Talent Sprouts is a performing arts preschool that combines an academic curriculum with creative movement and music appreciation programs.Our Preschool Curriculum is structured to facilitate cognitive development and literacy instruction taught through teacher guided sing-along techniques and cooperative learning activities. Our class sizes are small; Student to teacher ratio is 5:1 during academics allowing for individualized instruction in Math, Science, Art, History, Geography, Literacy, Cutting, Writing, and much more...
Our performing arts rotations include:
Dance:Dancing helps develop Fine/Gross Motor skills, rhythm, participating in a structured environment, and flexibility through creative movement and expression. In this class the teacher will provide structure and introduce the fundamentals of dance, allowing students opportunities for self-expression and positive stimulation.
Tumbling:
This portion of the day is always dynamic, energetic, and interactive. Children who engage in daily physical activity show superior motor fitness, academic performance, and attitude. Not only do we use the gymnastics mat, we also incorporate a variety of hand-eye coordination tools (parachute, various sized balls, bean bags, and scarves).
Music Appreciation:
Music speaks in a language that children instinctively understand. Even as music delights and entertains them, it helps mold their social, cognitive, linguistic, and motor skill development. Classes feature live guitar and piano and are taught by experienced musicians and educators. Through rhythm, melody, and harmony exercises and discovering how different instruments sound and are played, children will be able to develop many qualities and abilities including creativity, confidence, self-expression, and focus.
